Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026. This policy explains how the TheNeighbors HR app (package com.xrda3.theneighbors_hr) handles staff information. The app is provided by The Neighbors for its own employees; access is issued by the HR administrator.

1. Who this is for

TheNeighbors HR is an internal staff self-service app. It is used only by employees of The Neighbors and its branches, using a username and password issued by HR.

2. Information we collect

• Account & profile: your name, username, department, designation, branch, staff code, phone, join date, and a profile photo if you upload one.
• Attendance & location: the date and time when you start and end duty, and your device's GPS location at the moment you punch in or out — used to confirm you are at your assigned branch. The app does not track your location in the background.
• Leave & salary: leave requests you submit, and salary/payslip and end-of-service information your HR records for you.
• Documents: documents you add (e.g. QID, passport, health card, contract) including numbers, expiry dates and any images you upload for HR approval.

3. How we use it

• Record and verify attendance at your branch.
• Manage leave, salary/payslips and end-of-service estimates.
• Store and track your employment documents and their renewals.
• Let you update your profile and password.

4. Location

Location permission is used only to check the distance between your device and your assigned branch when you start or end duty. It is captured at that moment, stored with the attendance record, and is never used for continuous or background tracking.

5. Sharing

Your information is visible to you and to authorised HR administrators of The Neighbors. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising. Data is stored on The Neighbors' own servers. It may be disclosed only where required by law.

6. Security & retention

Passwords are stored using one-way hashing and all traffic uses HTTPS. Records are retained for the duration of your employment and for any period required by Qatar labour and tax regulations, after which they may be deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights

You can view and update your profile, password and documents in the app. To access, correct or request deletion of your other records, contact your HR administrator.

8. Children

The app is intended for employees only and is not directed to children under 13.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above will change. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
